Sky Deal On

Sky Sports has confirmed that it will continue to show live Elite League speedway for the next 5-years. Negotiations have been taking place for a number of weeks now, resulting in a deal finally being agreed.

Sky Sports have committed themselves to showing 25 live meetings this season. They will start with the Elite League Riders Championship which has been moved to Friday, March 21 at Coventry’s Brandon Stadium.

The new TV deal also includes live coverage of the Premier League and selected individual events.

Phil Morris loses out

Former Brummies man Phil Morris has lost out on his bid to be in charge of the British team, 

Phil Morris says he will stay on as one of British Speedway’s youth coaches after missing out on the top job. Morris,  quit the Brummies in November, will combine his role with the Under-21s alongside working with ex-Brummies man Chris Harris in the Grand Prix series.

Adam Skornicki has agreed a move to Birmingham

Adam Skornicki The popular Polish racer has agreed a move to the Birmingham Brummies from rivals Wolverhampton.

“I enjoyed riding there as a visitor last season, the track is a nice shape and it suits my style. I am confident I can do a good job for Birmingham,  I will be looking to keep the good form going I showed towards the end of last season and it will be interesting when we go to Wolves.” said Skornicki

Season Tickets

Following hot on the heels of skipper Danny King’s decision to stay with the club as part of a new era for 2014, fans are expected to scramble for the bargain prices.

Birmingham Speedway pride themselves in value for money and entertainment – and both will be high on the agenda at Perry Barr in 2014 with a combination of the world’s top stars and most talented British youngsters in action EVERY WEEK!

Adult prices are now £249 for the increased fixture list of 18 home league meetings – and there are early bird discount prices too.

Fans who pay for their season ticket by December 31 will receive a further 5% reduction – and there will be even more offers and discounts to season ticket holders throughout the season.

The club can also confirm all adult and seniors season ticket holders will receive a full match programme at each meeting.

Selco Brummies owner Alan Phillips said: “These are exciting times at Birmingham Speedway and I hope fans will take advantage of our season ticket prices.

“We’ve made a great start with team building and we want the feel-good factor to sweep throughout the 2014 season.

“I’m sure our wonderful fans appreciate the efforts we have made in offering great value top flight speedway at Perry Barr.”

Adult – £249 (including programme)
Senior 60-yrs – £159 (including programme)
Juniors 5-17yrs – £79
* Please note Season Tickets are not valid for admission to BSPA shared meetings, Testimonial events or any Play-Off match.

Cheques should be made payable to Birmingham Brummies Ltd.
